Children cases:

Sally has considerable experience of public and private law children work. In public law children cases, Sally has acted for local authorities, parents and children in all levels of court.


Financial remedies:

Sally's financial relief practice encompasses all aspects of matrimonial finance and cohabitation disputes including Schedule 1, Children Act claims. She holds the STEP Certificate in Trusts and Estates.


Administrative law:

Sally has a particular interest in judicial review proceedings. Her book on Part III, Children Act, 'The Children Act 1989: Local Authority Support for Children and Families' was published by Jordan Publishing in June 2011.

She regularly advises and represents claimants and local authorities in judicial review claims relating to the Children Act, education, homelessness and community care. Many of her cases settle before they reach a substantive hearing. She has a particular knowledge of the duties of local authorities under s.17 and s.20, Children Act 1989, the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000, fostering / special guardianship payments and the duties owed to looked after children.

Sally has undertaken cases in the Court of Protection and work which falls under the Mental Health Act 1983.
