Neil is a working pupil, having completed his 12-month pupillage at 4 Paper Buildings (Chambers of Jonathan Cohen QC). He regularly appears in Family Proceedings Courts, County Courts, the Principal Registry of the Family Division and the High Court and his practice encompasses all areas of ancillary relief, private law and public law.
Neil receives instructions in all aspects of ancillary relief, including FDRs and final hearings, applications under TLATA and financial provision for children. His private law practice includes residence disputes, contact and leave to remove. In public law, he acts for parents, guardians and Local Authorities in cases involving neglect, emotional harm, physical harm, non-accidental injury and sexual abuse.
Neil is a visiting lecture at the College of Law where he teaches mooting and advocacy skills on the GDL course.
Prior to being called to the Bar Neil had a successful career as a professional trombone player and composer.
